Answers: I would try a reputable Free credit counseling center first. I have been through chapter 13, which did not facilitate and lead to chapter 7. Now my credit is messed up for years. My daughter is going through a credit counseling service and it seems to be much better for general public with credit card debt. My debt was due to massive medical bills,I didn't enjoy credit cards, so they really couldn't help me. Bankruptcy was my merely option.
