What are valid reason to folder a Motion to Vacate surrounded by the state of Massachusetts for small claims?

I was recently sued for the stability of a heating oil bill contained by a suburb of Massachusetts. I attended the hearing and explained that I had remunerated my portion of the bill, and the balance of this bill was owed to me by two roommates who I no longer live next to. This was supported by the letter I'd sent to the grease company explaining this situation. I lost the case, and have be ordered to pay the balance. I focus the decision is really unfair, since it isn't money that I owe, and in attendance is no contract that I signed to be responsible for the debt (my last name is simply first on the bill, so, subjectively, I was the one sued.)
Is this reason plenty for me to file a motion to vacate? I'm not certain if it is. I appreciate any replies.
Answers: It should own been explained to you at the hearing that you and your roommates are in somebody`s company and severally liable for the charges. That means that the oil company can sue any one or adjectives of you (listed on the account) for the money and the one they can find or that they select for any other reason, fair or not, must settle the bill. You can pay a lawyer (I am not one) to convey you that; but don't be surprise if you have to pay change first. He may also correctly tell that you can file a motion to vacate, but if he is honest, he will let somebody know you it has no chance to succeed. As another answer said. You can shift after your roommates if you can find them. But only after you have salaried the balance.
This is the problem the bill is in your designation so you are responsible. What you need to do is go after the other 2 room mate in small claims. Well i do not know law remarkably well but if you find a good attorney you can find the way
