Since you're upright next to managing money, I'll assume you'll be funneling most of your usual spending through your credit card and consequently paying you symmetry surrounded by full respectively month. (That's the best route to use a rewards credit card.)

The best rewards card for you will depend on your usual spending profile -- how much you spend in sundry rewards category resembling gas, groceries, restaurants, etc. You can use this rewards calculator to hastily determine which card will discharge you the most for your typical spending profile:

A few of the better cards are AmEx Blue Cash, Chase Freedom, and Citi Driver's Edge.
Citibank offer a choice fo cards, which hav eevarying rates and "paybacks", whether it be change, interest, miles, etc.

Just mind your Ps and Qs. A credit card is to be used for 2 things...
1) EMERGENCIES
2) Whatever it is you can't live lacking NOW, but that you can take-home pay bad by the closing of the month.

If you're getting a credit card for any other purpose, you should probably look at getting a loan (or a better impression, SAVE for the purchase)
