What would you do if you receive an email that you suspect or you know is a scam?
I received an email from a guy in Nigeria, and I didn't plunge for it, since I know something like this scam, but it really concerns me that these guys are still on the loose hunting ethnic group, because I've read and see the "supporting papers" that these scammers use to fool their victims.
Please bring up to date me How to identify email scam? And, how can we box againts these nature of frauds?
Answers:
forward the e-mail to scams(a)fraudwatchinternational. and also forward the e-mail to the treat roughly dept of the isp explicitly slice of their e-mail. For example if you get an a-mail from NigerianScam(a)YAH00.com (don't you preference the moniker be this comfortable?!!). You would forward the e-mail to abuse(a)YAH00.com. Or if it be from NigerianScam(a)yahoo.co.uk, later you would forward it to abuse(a)yahoo.co.uk. Hotmail also have an swearing dept, cox, aol, etc. They will look into it, and if the e-mail come from someone who does hold an e-mail description next to them, they will delete the e-mail portrayal. Of course, that won't stop the scammer, as adjectives they will do is merely plain up a unmarked e-mail vindication, but at tiniest it will slow them down and put together them work for their money.
But purely remember the hoary proverb, "if it seem too correct to be true, it is."
Just delete it and pray that other citizens do indistinguishable.
Well first rotten stop first performance email from anyone you do not know. Simply delete it unopened.
You can not protect someone from their own stupidity and GREED!
I basically usually respond near a really bad missive final. Then see them on my spam filter.
It is a scam and an infirm one. First stale flag the message and report the sender to yahoo for ill-treat, at smallest your smart ample to know its a scam other ethnic group are not as fortunate.
