excuse yourself - not from a meeting or in the middle of a conversation, but after everything's said and done - to cry if you inevitability to in the restroom then verbs yourself together and go back to work?
Answers: That's not unprofessional. Unprofessional is when you become adjectives dramatic and breakdown in front of everyone, making a scene.
By excusing yourself politely and being discreet in the region of your emotions at work and then pulling yourself together past getting back to work shows emotional and mental old age.
Doing this discreetly and dealing with an issue you need to steal care of right away helps to accomplish your work and hang on to your focus so that you don't have anything interfere in work celebration.

I donk think its unprofessional. I in actuality would say it is more professional to walk sour and cry then to stand their and argue and fight. I surmise you made a wise choice.
