Is this bogus or am I whining?
Is this bogus or am I whining?
I work for a security company and there is one other guy who works beside me on the contract, who I have seniority over. He works 2 days a week so that I can have a weekend and next works 3 days elsewhere.
The property we secure is changing hand, from state to a county level. This is causing two key issues. 1.) We were recently told that the contract is varying from only 8hrs a day to 24/7, around the clock. 2.) It's not particular how much longer the contract will last; even though it’s still government property, it’s still different.
The company doesn't want to hire more personnel as they may be letting them shift IF the contract falls through. So they're going to shift the other guy over, have supervisors fill surrounded by and have mandatory overtime.
I welcome the overtime; they’re planning on have us work 4 – 12hr days. I’ll get an extra 1 1/2 days pay every week and a 3-day weekend.
Answers: I agree next to you, personally. Your senority should entitle you to more consideration than that.Or else it means nil.
Sometimes for the sake of perserving what's fair WE must look beyond the TEAM and be a little SELF serving contained by our concerns.if not we leave our selves unfold to be walked on...i would *** about it and LOUDLY but generate sure it is to the right personel or you may go unheard altogether.good luck!
Hmmm. This is a tough one. I see both sides of the argument. It really depends on how your company feel about seniority. I would gather by putting you on graves and the guy who have been there smaller amount time on days that seniority doesn't mean all that much. It would be nice if they compensated you more since you been there longer. All I can speak is that if you don't ask, you'll never get the opportunity to get what you want. All they will say-so is yes or no. Some companies don't actually care seniority. I totally take your frustrations but before complaining think just about how replaceable you are. If it will be easier for them to hire someone else than deal with you, you might be out of a assignment. You may want to sit down with management once more or less it but don't push too hard.
you should get salaried more for working graves, most places to pay more for shifts like that, you plainly arent whining your right, they should swap shift around you on days one week nights the next shift.....
I believe you enjoy a complaint and you should talk to someone about it!
