PLEASE HELP WILL GIVE 10 POINTS paypal compensation?

On sunday I bought an eSellerate product, which I realised was a scam. So I emailed them, and told them I considered necessary a refund. Here is what they said:
Hello,
You hold contacted eSellerate Software, an online retailer of many different software programs made by sundry companies. We are not the maker of the product you purchased, but we did bar your online purchase. We are also authorized to process refunds and I own done so for you now. You should see this reflect in your description within one or two business days.

Then I recieved this email from Paypal:
Dear -----
eSellerate (paypal(a)esellerate.net) have issued you a full or partial refund for your payoff.
Original Payment Details
Date Payment Sent: 9 March
Amount: 31.91 GBP
But the money hasn't come into my bank vindication or paypal account but. see the extra details please run out of space:
Answers: It looks like they deduct from u twice, but also refunded u twice. Check your report to ensure that the refund is within. If not, wait a few more days and dispatch a follow-up email or call them. They come across quite responsive, and it doesn't look resembling they're ignoring you.
I would lately call PayPal to go and get to the bottom of it. It is so much easier than trying to do it through the computer. My husband and I have have to call PayPal tons times and they are usually pretty good around getting things straitened out. The phone number is on their website.. Good Luck!
