we be a short time ago conversation in the region of it at work, and this guy say, yes, an employer can lower your settle, if he so chooses to smaller number than what you started at..I vote that isn't right, but he say he's right. Tried looking it up, but can't find anything related to that put somebody through the mill.

I don't really know much in the order of this benign of article, but I don't suppose an employer should be capable of newly lower your wages similar to that. But perchance it depends on where on earth you work. At read out a fast-food restaurant, I don't imagine they can do that; but at a small Mom-and-Pop restaurant or store, I reflect on it's objective spectator sport.
Your coworker is correct, an employer can legitimately lower your income as long as he/she is still paying you at least possible the minimum wage. You don't hold to agree though, but if you don't, your selection is to quit and look for another undertaking - the employer can establish what he is going to pay envelope you.
The merely exception would be if you enjoy a contract, alliance or otherwise, that say what you will be salaried - after the employer have to honor the contract..
