What would $3000 in 1989 be worth today?
I own a former employer who owes me at tiniest $3000 of final pay cheque from 1989. How do I numeral out what that amount is worth today?
Answers:
Due to inflation, that would be worth in the order of $2100 today. Meaning, if you have save that $3000 lower than your bed and pulled it out today...it would be worth more or less $2100.
Unless you enjoy some type of "written agreement" that he would compensate you interest on money owed to you, afterwards its still going to be $3000.
a lot more than $3000 that for sure
$3,000 in 1989 would hold one and the same buying power as $5,040.77 in 2007.
Just for fun, figure almost 3% for inflation you'd hold roughly speaking a 65% go underwater making the amount 3000 * 1.65 = 4950, phone up it $5000. Of course a court won't dispense you anything for inflation so even though you lost 5000 in todays dollars you could not bring fund the extra $$$$. Also, the statute of limitaions should've run out on this abundant years ago, so I don't even deduce you can appropriate the guy to court over this - so contained by essence you can't find this money hindmost.
So, its $5000 surrounded by todays dollars, but you can't (in my opinion) collect it.
um he have owed you this since 1989 and very soon you are worried almost it? if it be me i woulda be at them within 1989 lol. ego enunciate forger figure it out yourself and freshly run the former employer to court. that shoulda be handle years ago
