What's the single most essential entry you've done to become successful?

Thinking outside the box. I cater to several niche market and be a bit intimidated by going the traditional route because of how everything is mainstreamed in today's flea market. By focusing on something I required to do, tallying surrounded by my own humor, and finding my own niche bazaar, I built up some pretty upright repeat business beside customers.
You can't ask anyone to do something you aren't ready to do yourself.
That could be scrape crap out of a 4 inch sewer strip..
Or ladling unnatural stuff out of a grease trap..
