Why are academy supplies so cheap?
I'm simply curious, but why are the conservatory supplies so cheap surrounded by the summer rear to university sale? Doesn't Staples lose money if it sell its 8 pk pencils, pencil sharpeners, etc. at 1 cent? A lot of those things are made in China, but equal things sold in China isn't that cheap, plus at hand must be a transportation cost from China to US, and some establishment taxes. But, anyway, if the stores market the institution supplies at a cost, why would they do that?

Its cheap because at that time of year everyone is buying those items, so more profit is made even by selling at a lower price. Plus, if stores run very well timed sale, targeted at big market, they build a better customer dais. Even if they lose profit during the Dutch auction, they will own gain some trial customers that will settle up full price for things latter on.
