I'd approaching to know besides moral reason, what damages reducing the prime rate will do.?

Who's pocket will attain hurt? Will that affect Wall Street? If the index rate go down below... permit vote 5%. Everybody will start refinancing and since the bank already cram roughly sub-prime... All those strange loans would be "safe". People will start buying investment properties, the Real Estate Industry, the Mortgage, the Construction, Furniture, Paint, Wood, etc, would regain strengh, and Banks will be capable of survive. The establishment wouldn't even hold to have an idea that of subsidice culture that if nil obtain's done will facade forclosure. Please no politics. I want to know statistics, and financial investments opinion.

Answers:
Who's pocket will attain hurt? - My pocket will. People approaching me who work frozen, and want to invest in secure securities, close to certificate of deposits and bonds. A better interest rate will facilitate my adjectives.

Will that affect Wall Street? - These bygone few weeks enjoy proved it affects Wall Street. They are steady trying to fix the Fed to lower the rate to their control.

I am not an expert, but i believe we enjoy a strong reduction, and lowering the rate will bring the attraction of the dollar down.
Most of those big companies hold insurance,so it would not be any loss to them.
Well, in attendance are no statistics to answer your grill. Statistics transpire after the reality not until that time...those are projections. And, I enjoy no clue of what you be going to by moral reason for lowering the prime rate?

Unless, I own missed something the prime be only just only just lowered.

Now, if you are asking in the order of artificially lowering the Prime Rate...and who will reward? That would be the average taxpayer. The Prime Rate is set by the Federal Bank...it is the rate that they loan money to bank...if it is to low the taxpayer have to kind up the difference.

And concerning the sub-prime loans...you might want to do a bit more research. There is fine print that go along beside those too.

I am assuming that this is a cross-question for an Economics course..

Your suggestion is flawed...because it will solitary shift more money from the working class to the upper class. Which at the end of the day will start a downward spiral of the discount.

So surrounded by short...everyone will find hurt! The working class more than the rich.
