Answers: Get your personal items at a dollar store. Shop a discount food store. Cruise Craig'sList under for Dutch auction, free category for everything else.
You would not believe what ppl give away free on Craig'sList. Just click your city or state and progress from there.
You may enjoy a Freecycle yahoo group in your nouns as well. Everything on in attendance is free too.
In the Twin Cities we also have a FreeMarket. I am on adjectives of these websites all of the time and own fully furnished my apartment with great stuff (even antiques) for not one dime.
Dollar stores are a great place to shop for stuff similar to laundry detergent, shampoo, even produce (at least the one by me). It's incredible how much I retrieve there. Also, thrift stores are the BEST for clothes, even shoes. Also, End-of-Year clearances (when stuff is 80% off) are great. You enjoy to buy a season ahead, but it's totally worth it.
