What's the cheapest approach to distribute 300lbs of collection?

I sold my Lp collection for just about $1000. I want to convey them from Ohio to California. USPS? UPS? FED EX? Drive them myself, lol? Thanks!

Answers:
The cheapest road is by Greyhound Bus. You would hold to bring them to Greyhound, and the other party would call for to pick them up at their bus station. Greyhound have a upright, express, low-cost freight service. I used them seriously when UPS go on strike a few years ago.
Cheapest and safest is USPS. However you inevitability to convey 5 60lbs packages.
Try looking into a freight service. It may be cheaper.
do the research.

www.fedex.com
www.ups.com
www.usps.com

that will bring you what you have need of to know. I consider ups may be the best bearing, they are a bit cheaper later fedex, and you hold the tracking information so you know when your item arrived.
Seperate them into flat rate boxes. USPS provides them, any other road would be charged by bulk.
u said LPs as in vinyl?
i would not dispatch cheap - it is slower and prone to more fry lay waste to.
vinyle intransit will become trash.
the through carrier may not be close to as expensive as you imagine. check them out. Just do 5 year ground.
Greyhound Express, Hands down will be your cheapest approach. I hold shipped copious oversized and sweet things this track. They put the packages surrounded by equal nouns as belongings. I enjoy shipped small couches and dressers this agency. They will adopt anything up to 82" long and up to 100 or 150 lbs, you will hold to put them contained by several boxes however. Believe me this will surprise you how affordable it is, simply drawback, you will own to drop bad at greyhound station and buyer will enjoy to pickup at his nearest station. Good Luck!
I hope the buyer is paying for shipping because 300 lbs is probably gong to run you anywhere between $200 to $300 from Ohio to California. Look into some Logistics companies similar to 88 Logistics or Old Dominion. You might enjoy to put everything on a pallet and shrink wrap it because it sounds resembling it's plentifully of stuff.
I believe medium correspondence will be your tiniest expensive choice (from the USPS)

Their maximum mass per bunch is 70 lbs.

if you put it into 6 50lb boxes, the cost is $112.74 for adjectives 6 boxes shiped medium post. (plus you could supply 14.70 for insurance to protect yourself against mar surrounded by transit)

Looking at UPS, the cost for one 50lb box would be $52.93

Oh, I looked at greyhound, they required over a hundred dollars for a 100lb box... so for your 200 lbs, it would be over $200. USPS Media messages is the tiniest expensive preference.

I hope that help.
Find someone who is driving in that anyway and have extra room. For example, someone who is moving and rented a slightly larger U-Haul type truck than they needed.

If you use FedEx, ask something like FedEx Freight. This go the entire bearing by truck and is much smaller quantity money than regular FedEx, which puts everything on a plane to Memphis and after on another plane from Memphis.
since it's a nouns record, you can use USPS medium e-mail rate (media messages is for "books, nouns recordings, record video tape, printed music, and record computer-readable medium (such as CDs, DVDs, and diskettes)").

however the max weightiness per pack is 70lbs. and next to anything protective and shipping materials, you're probably going to own to split up your shipment into 5 separate packages (60lbs x 5 = 300). the following extremely rough calculation are base on respectively bag weigh 65lbs.

for shipping from cleveland, oh (44101) to doesn`t matter what city 90210 is (only fastener code surrounded by california i could come up beside offhand), 65lbs at the medium post rate is 23.89. multiplied by 5 is around $125.

i would also include insurance and transfer confirmation on this as capably (2.45 + 0.75, respectively) as ably, merely to be sheltered.
x5 and these extras would come to $16.

so adjectives together, total cost to ship would be around $141.

it'll get near contained by a week, but i contemplate this is the cheapest you can turn to transport this much substance.
