I'm employed as an Office Manager at a local NPO\CBO w\ Nat'l ties. Here's the problem:?
Our Exec. Dir. have departed me 'holding the pouch' on a MAJOR financial opportunity. I'm tired of the E.D. departing meeting close to this up to me, and chair them is NOT module of my Job Descrip. For the current mtg., the E.D. desires me to touch w\ the 'inner circle' of our Bd of Dir, & the funders involved, even though the proposal will imagined convey smaller amount counterweight b\c our request wasn't presented by the E.D. I love my charge, but this is not the 1st time I've 'covered' for the E.D., & I'm getting tired of running the unbroken show, esp. on what I'm making annually. So, do I permit the adjectives show crash, or verbs making excuses for the E.D. & doing that assignment as powerfully as my own? (The #1 excuse for the absence is that the E.D. requirements to "be there" for his daughter. In the meantime, I hold to work tardy & weekends, and put my own child on hold to do so.
So, do I keep hold of this up, or do I move about to the Board of Directors, since the E.D. doesn't come across to grasp the problem? Please support. (Thank You In Advance!)

Tough situation. Letting something crash may ruin him and you and probably not a correct choice. Better you do a great situation and increase your skills and reputation. You requirement to address you concerns directly to your E.D. back going to the Board. If he doesn't respond next at smallest you give him a shot. Document the discussion. Make sure to find what you want from him - surrounded by writing save document it.
If things don't amend afterwards you want to find a opening to catch your message to the board or HR or someone. Maybe by inquiring if nearby are other opportunity within the company - if here is an unequivocal position consequently "post" for it. When ethnic group ask why you want to start out - say aloud I get the impression I am doing the undertaking and not getting compensated for it so I want to try something else.
If word get rear to your ED at least possible you enjoy address near him so he can't voice why didn't he put in the picture me - and you enjoy the documented discussion.
