Why do guys go and get promoted faster?

It depends on the boss. There are businesses where on earth "hot chicks" go and get promoted faster than their more qualified counterparts.
THEY STEAL THEIR IDEAS FROM THE WOMEN WHO ARE WORKING HARD TO GET PROMOTED OR THEY ARE BETTER AT PLAYING GOLF? I DON'T KNOW!!
This is a oversimplification. In some companies/industries, men acquire promoted more immediately. In others, women tend to own the profession and the promotions (nursing, for example.) Some industries own a superior demographic of men to women, or vice-versa; some must gather round affirmative conduct quotas.

If you aren't getting where on earth you want to step surrounded by your current company, ask yourself what's missing. Does the company come to nothing to promote women contained by common? Do you have need of a strong mentor to backing move you forward? Are you missing a critical informative component or credentials?

I am a womanly of child good posture age who have missed a promotion because the powers that be assume I will enjoy a child and miss work. I won't, but specifically their mindset. Even a woman at another company told me she promoted a man over a woman because he's not going to have need of motherliness resign from. So, it isn't only men beside that mindset.

I enjoy 2 Masters' Degrees and working toward a PhD. I work over 50 hours a week and miss unbelievably little work due to bug (3 of the finishing 5 years I hold have correct attendance), but because I am 43, they are still afraid I am going to enjoy a tot. So, they are suspicious of promoting me.
