A biddable and qualified HR Dept staff must know and be kept up to date on every directive concerning employee-emplyer relationships, what the employer can and cannot do, what is lawful and undemocratic within hiring and firing for body and employer of the finicky state that they are within. There also are Federal law that they must know and enforce..similar to OSHA, and others that affect both State and Federal guidelines..
In short, short a solid and erudite HR Dept director and staff, a company or corp will soon collapse and come to an end up contained by a ruling suit and travel lower than vigorous.
