As to how to trust a seller, unanimously power sellers are pretty trustworthy. There is a number subsequent to their screen nickname. That's their feed hindmost. When you buy something on eBay, it is expected that you let everyone know how the merchant is, whether they communicated well, if they sent the right item, if they sent it fast, etc... That's feedback.

Power seller usually have tons of feedback, somewhere around 3000 or more past they can be called that. If too much of explicitly bad, they will lose their power salesperson tag.

As to bidding, move about here:

Best of luck
When you find an item on ebay..you are buying from a seller..not ebay itself. You can research your wholesaler by reading FB comments and by looking at his score. I would never buy from anyone near a feedback score smaller quantity then 98.6%.

There are several tutorials you should read since bidding.

Go to ebay..click on BUY at the top of the page and read "help near buying and bidding"
