Last Paycheck?

I worked a assignment ending summer, and never get my later paycheck. In the winter, I started bugging them nearly it, because they hadn't sent me my W2, any. Eventually, I get them to convey my W2, but they said they have to reprint the check, and later they would transport it to me. Now, when I try to bid, the owner is extremely sturdy to take a hold of (I know when I worked here, he be just ever in), and he told the proprietor that he doesn't remember me and have no notion who I am. Now the overseer doesn't work at hand anymore, so I don't really enjoy anyone on the inside who can back me.

I live within a different state immediately, so I don't muse I can steal the owner to small claims court, as I can't truly appear contained by court. Does anyone hold any philosophy?

(The paycheck is for over $400 and I really involve the money - the plane ticket to fly out at hand and steal him to court would cost that much, though.)

Short of getting the trial system involved, I dream up your screwed. However, if you can find an attorney or a legalized aid place that would transport your employer a formal epistle threatening legally recognized movement if they didn't comply and distribute you your final check, this might terrify the crap out of them plenty to do it lacking incurring big court or travel costs. Good luck.
