Is in that a time constrict on canceling a check?

I not long be sent a return check from a crazy creature who provided a doomed to failure service. I don't trust her and I reason she will try to nullify the check she sent me. My ridge said that I will hold to lurk 14 days and see what happen. It's single be 7 days. But does anyone know if at hand is a time check on canceling a check? Can she try to cancel it even after a month?
