Which one is better? Scott Trade, E Trade, or Sharebuilder?
Is there much difference? I have Sharebuilder and my fiance have Scott Trade. Should I switch or are they basically all matching?
Answers: If you ever get more " into" investing/trading, Scottrade is the best of the bunch...even the smallest accounts get access to top shelf trading and research tools.
Second choice: E*trade
Sharebuilder ? Really not the full service company you will inevitability in the future...why continue? Get into a real broker now.
There's a big difference between Sharebuilder and other brokerage firms
Sharebuilder is not a full service B/D nor can it be considered a discount B/D since here are too many restrictions regarding the securities you can invest surrounded by and the firm is not geared for trading.
Scottrade and E-Trade are both full service B/D, both have good trading platforms and both delight in a good reputation.
Sharebuilder is a cute firm, but it's not there near regular investors. Scottrade would be better suited for mostly all types of traders and/or investors.
Keep you boy friend happy and build his ego, embark on a Scottrade account, or if you want to really bust his bubble open an picture with E-Trade
I advise you to stay away from ETrade, they enjoy horrible customer care and i had some bleak experiences with them, i now use Tradeking, they respond to my emails equal or next day..one time they answered it 3 minutes subsequent..which was amazing because i came from Etrade where on earth it took 2 or 3 days if they even did respond to it I can't vouch for the others, but I use Scottrade, and I haven't had any problems or complaints. Yes, I'd say their respectively pretty comparable.
