Which company to invest within and why?

Barclays or Sainsburys? Long and short term options? Reasons trailing choice, other than the fact at hand is potential for a higher share price.

Thanks

Answers:    Barclays is a decent Bank punt .. the shares should recuperate over the next 5 years and in the meanwhile it pays a fully clad divi.

Sainsburys is in a very competitive business .. unlike Barclays, I see no prospect of Sainsburys doubling over the subsequent 5 years.

On the other hand Barclays could fall even further (or even run bust) .. whilst Sainsburys should retain their value & there is even the possibility the shares could spring 50% in the event of a takeover
