What do you judge of the "Dogs of the Dow" investing strategy?
Answers: When it was first developed it was a polite strategy. But it has the same problem of any strategy. As more population learn begin to follow it, it loses its assistance. Today too many people know of the "dog" strategy and are finding ways to carry an advantage. The resulting buying and selling causes the inspired "dog" strategy to under-perform.
In it's original form I don't believe it is still a market defeat strategy. The new variations are may be better. But I devise it would be better to come up with your own strategy.
The Dogs of the Dow have a angelic track record, I think it be good 15 out of the last 17 years.
