STOCK... class project for stock and what current stock have be doing in good health and what should i "invest" contained by?
im n 8th grade my friend is doing stock project and i love her to death and im trying everything for her because to return with an "A" on the class, you must win...she is towards the end of the list so she is not doing powerfully
if you know..please help because she will have desperate consequences from her parents if she doesnt win and get an "A"

If a stock has been doing extremely well recently, avoid buying it. It will be overpriced.
You want to look for companies beside a strong track record of earnings to be precise currently out of favour.
You need to evaluate whether the original business plan of the company is still sound. Often the reason a company go out of favour is related to market shifts that formulate the company unlikely to succeed in the future.
Avoid buying on tips. I am going to obligingly avoid giving you a hot tip. If I have a company that I want to dump at a high price, I will distribute out hot tips to any and all. In particular I will point out how much money I hold made recently. I will be truthful, but I will be selling as the stock reaches the upper length of its likely value. I am selling it not as a desire to you but to maximize my own gain.
Look at the whole market, and be somewhat of a futurist... what is shifting that will compel us to pay more for a major slice of the things we must buy...
Do not overlook the ability of competitors to move into the niche market, and be aware that a great competitive head can evaporate overnight.
You need to continually reevaluate the marketplace. DO not suppose you can formulate a great decision that will last for your complete lifetime.

OXY - Occidental Petroleum - 86.00
CVX - Chevron 92.00
ARC - Arc Energy Trust (Canada) 25.00
FMC - FMC Corp 63.00
HAS - Hasbro Inc 34.00

Look for strong up trending stocks approaching POT, JRCC, USO. Stocks that are in an uptrend will typically continue to be in motion up. Walmart is strong right now, ticker is WMT. Most likely will verbs making new 52 week highs...see if you can "buy" on a "pullback"
