Is at hand a website where on earth you can see the dow nasdaq and s&p 500 for previous days?
Answers: Two ways...if you are looking for a single quote, I'd go to Big Charts. One of the buttons is historic data. Punch within DJIA and the date you want info for, and it'll give you a quote for the dow. SP500 gets you the S&P 500, and NASDAQ get you the Nasdaq.
If you are looking for a series of quotes, Yahoo's site is better. If you click on the finance tab, there is the box to the moved out which has the dow, S&P, and Nasdaq current quotes. Click on "dow", and it'll bring up a "detailed quote". In the light blue box to the disappeared, one of the options is a hyperlink "historical prices". Put in a date breadth, and you get all the quotes for that field. Same procedure works for S&P 500 or Nasdaq. Either site will allow you to go back for years.
Go to Yahoo Finance. On the moved out, you will see the performance of all those stock indexes for the light of day. Click on the symbol for the index for which you want earlier data. On the left-hand menu, click on "Historical Prices," and you will bring the open, high, low and closing prices for olden times few days, and many years earlier.
