How long do you hold on to stock formerly you go?

I HAD 100 shares within my company, AUTOMATICALLY. Well, the stock was up at $51.00 a share, like the absolute ever, but the stupid brokerage and paperwork took so dang long when I sold it that by the time the sale was finalized, the stock be only worth $43.00 a share!!
As you can imagine, the liquor cabinet be emptied after that event. What a stupid thing to begin! Why is it my fault that those desk jockeys take so long to finalize a Dutch auction?! How about I take $800 from them?
As I begin to sip a soda I heard a workmate think clearly, "What am I going to do with this extra money I have this month? Oh! I'll buy some stock surrounded by (our company) and sell it a week later!"
