A loss is incurred when you sell shares for less than you compensated for them. They are sold at a loss for a variety of reasons; You may regard they are going lower, you may have run out of time for sett;ement (short term trading), you may see a better opportunity for your money contained by another share, tax loss, need funds for other purposes etc. if you are a buyer, you should buy a share in a lower price in lingo of its value then go it when its value is high. but when its efficacy is lower than the price you bought it, definitely, you will get loss. that's the straightforward in investment, buy in a lower price after sell it when it's high to acquire profit. simple business. :)
DO people buy stock when prices are low? Then somebody must be selling, or there wouldn't be any stock to buy.
