This term is usually referring to options' time value and intrinsic advantage. Regular shares like those in a mutual fund enjoy what is Net Asset Value..the value of all the shares surrounded by the fund as of any particular closing date. The intrinsic value lower than the accounting rules is the difference btw the value of the option and the reasonable market value of like peas in a pod option at a particular date. Hope this help.
