What are the most volatile investments?
Answers:
I agree beside an in advance post tathat mentioned that commodities (like grease and gas, precious metals, hog-bellies, whatever) and currencies are volatile.
But I suppose that, ultimately, "derivative" investments, (ones whose good point depends upon the utility of some other asset or security) are more volatile. This is because even relatively small swings in the underlying asset's price can produce huge swings in the advantage of a derivative investment. Two examples that come in the blink of an eye to mind are stock option and futures contracts, If you bet right, you can win big. But if you bet wrong, you can lose even bigger.
Probably commodities, precious metals, grease and gas, or currencies.
Penny Stocks, these are worthless pieces of newspaper that can double or shift to 0 within a business of days.
Here's one: sub-prime mortgages and low trait debt :)
As a class derivatives, such as option, are the most volatile things you can invest in. For example today Apple's stock price dropped 5%. An choice allowing you to buy 100 shares of Apple stock at $140/share (the subsequent strike price up from the current price) lost more than partly its helpfulness.
Forex is the most volatile investment. It's a reality not an evaluation. It have the superlative volatility and liquidity and risk.
