Interpreting financial information for X stock?

Assuming I'm interested in X company... I look up the company in Yahoo Finance and read their profile (60-yr. matured established company contained by strong market), their historical pricing ($34/share average in July and August, and current price of $20), their headline (nothing distrustful there). Now I move about to their 3Q financials: $55M in assets (Balance sheet), virtually no bread and Cash Equivalents (Cash Flow), and a lattice income of $4M (income statement).
That's primarily how I interpret the info for any company that I seize from Yahoo Finance. How can I use this to my control? Also, I'm not a full-time trader and my investments are small, and I really want to stick to 1-2 websites for nonspecific info. How can I interpret the information I achieve surrounded by Yahoo Finance to cause an cultured decree when purchasing stock? Should I look for something else *in Yahoo Finance* that will aid in my ruling?

Thanks.

There really isnt satisfactory near to receive a honourable investment judgment on, although youre on the right track. You probably looked at more than 9 out of 10 investors look at. What you really want to know is:
What are they selling, who are their customers and competition, how does their product compare, are they lofty ending innovators or do they compete on cost... Actually, probably too abundant question to catalogue, but surrounded by short are they going to do better in the adjectives, or worse? Its complex to recount that by looking at historical financials although they can administer a clue to adjectives problems. You might be interested in a book by Peter Lynch.
