How do you find out if the spanking new coins the us mint are selling are going to be a set edition or mass product

i am interested in investing in some coins for my son and dont want to jsut buy a pack if they plan on making 1,000,000 of em im in iraq right presently and enjoy restricted time to ck up on things so does anyone know how i can find out how to form the best investment
