Do You Have to Have A Patent For Everything?

I want to do a purse beside special things on it, and not a soul have it anywhere (and sorry don't want to contribute it out for scare of copycat) and be wondering do I HAVE to HAVE a rights, and license. It would be a purse for making enthusiasm easiter and convenient. No special name, or trademarks or logos mandatory.

I scrounging I don't own $7,000 to spend on a official document, and attorney and other etc...

Nope. Two of the most successful things I can deduce of are not patented: the formula for Coke, and (surprise) the Hula Hoop. Look up trade undeclared and copyright as alternative ways to protect your thought. Those be used for Coke and the Hula Hoop, respectively.
You dont own to hold a rights for anything if you dont want to. And sometimes its not worth it to keep one. The money is better spent making a flawless product and increasing sale and open market share.
Your opinion should be protected surrounded by some method. You can also try a provisional official document.
