Can you buy stocks/shares induvidually? I.E. Without the serve of a stock broker??

I've just get some money for my B-day, so I want to invest in shares, but after some research, I can't find a place to do it minus a stock broker! I want to do it for and by myself - can i?

Answers:    The cheapest place is an on-line broker. Some offer to craft trades for $7 per trade. Check out Ameritrade, Charles Schwab, etc.
You can make adjectives your own decisions, but you necessitate a broker to handle your charge and to hold your stock for you. Open an account beside a low-cost online broker e.g. Ameritrade, E*trade. They will charge you a transaction fee, but they are not expensive.
