Foreign ETF Value Change - Question?

Why do foreign etfs changeover merit during US marketplace trading? I would have a sneaking suspicion that that since the market of say-so Japan or Australia are closed during our regular marketplace hours the ETFs should not fluctuate as much. The stocks that are contained in that ETF should own made the change independent of our souk hours. Any comments on this question would be great. Thanks!

Answers:
ETFs trade approaching a stock. American investors can look at what's scheduled contained by the American stock marketplace and translate what that's possible to suggest for a foreign ETF. Thus, they may buy or supply depending on what's going on in the US marketplace.
the above answer is exactly right, but I'd make the addition of that when buying EFT's, (like buying a stock) you are placing a bet on the adjectives of the funding assets, not days gone by.
and both answers are wrong.

the ones I back up close to VEU and CWI (Own) hold companies that do busines son the AMEX (or whatever) AND their own country market. armour contained by point Bayer AG (BAY) Is traded in the US AND in the NSE (which I guess is India) and German market. Meanwhile France Telecom SA IS NOT traded on the AMEX (or whatever) but its planned as a pink sheet FNCTF.PK (keep in mind pink sheets ARE regulated in mixed countries within the world NOT contained by the US). VEU have 51,000+ shares of it. They give somebody a lift the foreign market seriously but the ones on the US exchanges is what make up the price.
