Why share price dropping when company announce profit?

I'm just wondering expecially lately when some company announce transcription surge on profit but yet the share price drop sharply? Why is that so? I'm from singapore.

Answers:    Stock marketplace pricing are about the adjectives, not the past, it is what is going to crop up in the adjectives that affects the share prices, what is in former times usually won't matter. If you announce profit, it usually won't affect much as this is your acting out in olden times, if the ceo or chairman announced that the future outlook is rosy and expected to carry out even better which bigger contracts on hand, this will produce the price to rise. On the other hand, if they expect profits to drop contained by the next quarter, later even if u have worthy profits now, it will still drop. Observe this for every nominated company in the world, it applies, not merely in Singapore, for I hold been trading surrounded by the various market in singapore, hong kong, thailand, japan, london and fresh york for the past 16 years, so i roughly know how the market moves.
I hold two ideas: First, the country's discount can play into it. For example, the U.S. is widely believed to be entering a recession, so consumer spending is expected to drop, even if the company was more profitable contained by recent quarters. Second, if traders believe that the company have hit its peak, they may choose to market, thereby hoping to avoid owning an overvalued commodity.
