Question on Flex Spending reimbursement.?
I lost my receipts for my doctor copays but still have the statements from my insurance company reflecting the amount I had to salary. Will the statements suffice or am I out of luck? I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
Answers: The insurance statement (EOB) will work fine.
Remember you can also submit receipts for over the counter medications. Target very soon places a health total at the bottom of the receipt.
Some plans require you own the actual receipts, some don't. You can call the doctor & get duplicate receipts or statements showing you compensated for the service.
Just because your medical EOB shows you OWE your copay, doesn't mean you PAID your copay.
