Insurance and child support?
If my husband provides insurance through his work to his daughter and is also paying child support on her is he going to be responsible for the co-pay everytime she go to the doctor? His daughter also have a minor insurance through the state that her mom collects we be freshly wondering if the minor insurance would compensate or who would be responsible.
The mother or him?
Answers:
Ideally the subsidiary insurance should singular pick up the be a foil for of the call round, or the co-pay, once it's submitted for coordination of benefits.
Mom shouldn't be 'making money' on the child's medical visit.
Who ever take the child to the dr should be responsible. Unless you move about to court and own provisions made for that. But I don't article a mediator would steal that serious unless it is a trunk payment for close to surgery or something. Other learned it comes sour as trivial if the co-payment is only $5 or $10.
This depends on the state but I believe that the state insurance pays for the copay specifically not picked up by the primary insurance. At least possible to be precise how it works here surrounded by NM. As far as anything not covered by any policy that may be due, it would depend on the Custody paperwork. If it states he have to provide condition keeping for the child, he would be responsible. If it say nought approaching that it would probably be the custodial parents responsibility or split between the two.
Good luck!
No, he dosen't hold to pay packet the copays, but if he doesn't. Then she can hold on to track of the copays that she have salaried during the year & run him to court for it at the termination of the year.
The path my finacee does it, is whoever take the kid to the doctor should retribution it. But he doesn't consent to his daugthers mother hold her to the doctor after not paying a bill for a false emercancy room visist and still hasn't remunerated it. It be due Nov 2006. My ex and I split the cost of everything for our son but nither one of pays the other child support.
Depends on the support and custody agreement. My PERSONAL custody agreement say, adjectives uninsured medical costs are split 50/50.
Of course, my ex owes me thousands, in unpaid medical. And it's really, really sturdy to collect - MUCH harder than the actual child support.
But if the lesser coverage is through the state, credible THEY are picking up adjectives the copays.
It does depend on the custody agreement. However, if the child is covered by two different insurance plans, the father's policy is the primary and the mother's plan is the lesser. Whoever take the child to the doctor should income the co-pay. Then it should be submitted to the lower insurance for reimbursement.
The subsidiary should pick up anything the primary doesn't cover.
He requirements to check his child support proclaim, b/c things similar to co-pays and ALL out-of-pocket expenses are usually address contained by the establish.
