Well, perceptibly, State Farm isn't going to discharge any more break to the outside of the house.
and also demonstrably, the house is worth at least possible $8,000 smaller number.
When it sell at auction, you're STILL responsible for the difference . . . which MIGHT be a road lot smaller amount, beside unrepaired weaken.
so I consider it's simply going to increase your loss, conceivably by $20,000 or $30,000.
In a process you will. If you agree to it bring back to foreclosure, they will put on the market it at auction. You will be responsible for any shortfall between what they win and what you owe. If the house have $8,000 contained by deface it is probable to fetch $8,000 smaller amount than if you have fixed it.
You should do anything you can to avoid foreclosure. They will get rid of it CHEAP and you will owe the difference.
depending on state decree and your mortgage contract, you could be sued for any negative amount between the amount owed, plus interest, and the final Dutch auction price of the property smaller amount fix-up costs.
which might ably be plentifully more than 8k.
G00GLE your state's foreclosure law, dude. they're almost undeniably online. look for the constituent just about "deficiency"

to amplify the division going on for foreclosures and selling cheap ... I intuitively know a foreclosure speculator here contained by Florida. He flat will NOT bid more than 40 cents on the estimated 'fully repaired' dollar of plus on a foreclosure.
Atm, most foreclosures are person taken within by the lender for the amount owed. This does NOT extinguish your potential liability for a negative amount sensitivity -- simply delay it until after they get hold of the place fixed up and after put on the market it.
Btw, interest continues to accure while this process go on. In Florida, I believe the edge get 10% interest starting point from the year of the foreclosure auction even if your loan be for 7%.
ugh
:-)
Was the untested check issued to you and your mortgage company? If so, later the mortgage company may come after you for the cost of the repairs.
If your mortgage company be not put on the check and it be issued to you just, consequently most expected the mortgage company will come after State Farm to repay for the repairs again. However, State Farm will consequently pursue you for repayment.
So, yes - you any get to return with the work done or bequeath the money hindmost. Should own used the money for it's intended purpose in the first place and avoided this together mess.

I go through one and the same item.. when i file ruined contained by 05. i down my mortgage company (you hold to) year or so latter i get a check from my insurance company to fix my roof from hail plunder resembling yours. i kept the money. have a forclosure. and i be fine.. no problem all the same. but remember.. i file cleaned out a year precipitate since i get the money and forclosure!
