Do auto insurance companies check your credit?

I want to purchase a house but I don't want my credit individual touched while looking for insurance for my vehicle. Will an insurance company touch my credit?

Answers:
Unless you live in California, yes, an insurance credit check WILL begin, unless you're below 21 (in which shield you deeply grasp the worst rates anyway).

The GOOD report is, the insurance scoring does NOT count as a "ding" on your credit rating.
Car Ins Companies check your credit and floor the rates on it.
They will check your credit as member of the application process. This is merely one of the pieces they use to determine what risks to adopt and at what rate. Statistics show that folks next to lower credit score tend to hold complex chance of file claims. Therefore, folks next to lower credit score tend to compensate superior premiums than those next to intensely well brought-up credit score.
While you are looking for a house, put a fraud view on adjectives of your credit reports. NOBODY can look into your credit short your express consent.

When dealing next to the mortgage company, explain to them that you put the survey on your credit to ensure that adjectives the inforamtion is accurate
Your press is totally irrelvant. There is a misconception that if someone checks your credit rating, your credit rating DROPS.

That's nonsence. Call a credit bureau similar to equifax and they will explain to you that your credit rating might drop if you own close to page and page of hundreds of different inquiries.

I directly be speaking near equifax something like my credit report, and asked them, hey what something like these 5 inquires over the second year or two, are these slaughter me?? The female variety of chuckled and said no sweetie, that is to say the suitcase if you enjoy approaching 500
inqueries...some ancestors travel to wall after wall after hill tryng to go and get loans, and consequently hold close to an entire book of credit inquiry hits.thats when your credit rating starts to move about down.
Most of them will inquire more or less your credit. This is another flaw within the current underwrite systems that allow an auto company to check credit instead driving history.
Many will, but usually they own to own your assent. Be sure to read the fine print if applying online or ask any agents BEFORE agreeing to the insurance quote.

I know that Progressive and Geico check credit. I enjoy esurance and I don't believe they check credit.

Try them at www.esurance.com.

Good Luck!
