If my gravel driveway wash out/away from extreme rainfall, is it covered beneath homeowners insurance?

I want to procure it covered to prevent this from scheduled again.

Answers:
No.

Several reason. Extreme rainfall make surface wet. Surface sea is what's wash out the gravel drive. Another identify for it, is flood. Flood is NOT covered lower than a homeowners policy. EVER.

Also, if you look at your homeowners policy - it covers the DWELLING, it covers OTHER STRUCTURES, it covers CONTENTS. A gravel driveway is not a structure. There's no coverage for your grass, or the dirt, or the courtyard. There's a unbelievably fixed amount of "second coverage" for trees, shrubs & plants. But no driveways.

Sorry.

Also, paving the drive, does NOT turn it into a structure.
I agree near the previous answer wholeheartedly, but to dance somewhat beyond what the other human being said.most policies do not cover the patio, or the come to rest itself. And most policies exclude landslide, cave-ins, sinkholes, etc.

Sorry to speak, in that is no coverage for that lower than most policies.
There is no coverage for washout of driveways on any homeowners policy. It is not a structure and flood is excluded too. Also, if you have flood insurance, it wouldn't be covered on that policy any because flood insurance single covers your house. You would enjoy to buy a separate policy to insure a separate building. The situation you are speaking of is uninsurable. Our driveway used to washout in one screened-off area every rainstorn (because we have shelf beneath the mound quantity of the driveway beside merely more or less 6-8 inches of dirt on top). So, we have to pave it & we did at our own expense - it is really considered conservation - keeping the driveway in appropriate condition purely as you would any cog of your property.
No. For adjectives of the reason stated.
No. This is considered an "stroke of God" and is most imagined due to poor grade...not from anything unusual that occur.
