If my Fico is 648 and I own 2 R9's coming stale?

I know that the R9 really dont affect my score because they are so old (6 years), but will it aid me get credit because the lenders no longer see the R9's. I still will have 2 not here out of 5 after June.
I want to get a Platinum Alaska Air card because I fly a lot, but isnt the platinum card harder to carry? I dont want to credit seek and damage the ground I hold made on raising my FICO

Answers:    Don't apply for credit until you need to. If you are seeking the Alaska Air Card it is best you lurk for the bad debts fall bad your credit report. There is no guarantee that your FICO score will suddenly increase because they fall rotten. FICO is calculated on a variety of credit factors. Might want to research on credit forums to see info on the card you want.
Personally I'd say just apply for the card and if you're turned down afterwards inquire as to specifically WHY that was. You can always reapply for the card when the other R9s drop past its sell-by date your report.

One other option suggests itself. Give them a call and ask which credit bureau they check (Equifax or Transunion), what chalk up they would consider the minimum and if there is anything else you should be aware of before applying.

They may not answer adjectives your questions, but ultimately they want your business so it makes sense that they'd answer at lowest possible some of them.
