I signed gym contract at 17 they fake my age and put 18. I couldnt reimburse, they sent to collections. do i wage?

I signed a Gym contract when i was 17 so they faked my age and put 18. I rewarded for first few months but i couldnt afford it. After a while they sent it to collection agency and now they want me to pay $700. Is near any way i can avoid paying? Since i was 17 when i signed does that mingy the contract isnt legally binding? let me know gratitude

Answers:    First off that is automatically fraud. Since you weren't 18 at the time they could be charged of putting a minor contained by harm's way and you didn't have parental approval. Investigate more there is a way around it.
I am not a attorney... Can you prove WHEN you signed the contract (and that you were underage)? Like, do you have cancelled checks next to which you made payments, or a copy of the contract with the date on it [then compare it to your license, to prove you were underage...or any article else?

If you can prove you were underage, you can tell them you be underage... and maybe they will drop the situation right there. But, too, you may want to receive (free?) legal service in your nouns. Call the state bar association, state attorney general's office, or county or state social service office, to find out how you can get free, or low cost, legal service.

Good luck to you.
The gym will be surrounded by big legal troubles for falsly stating information on a legal binding contract.

You will not be responsible for the charges, but you may enjoy to get an attorney to fight for your rights. If you contact the gym and give an account them this situation, they may not want to end up going to court over this and may settle outside of court.

Either way, they lied on the documents which is against the directive.
I would say that you are not responsible since you were underneath the age of 18 when you signed it, provided that you have the copy of the contract. Did you need to show ID when you signed it? Did you falsify your age/date of birth or did they? If you did, then I would utter you are still responsible. If THEY did, I assume they are out of gas with collecting. a minor can not sign a contract. you are not responsible for the fees. i hope the contract is dated. the proof that you were not 18 is a copy of this dated contact and your birth permit.
if they falsified the document that is fraud.. just similar to changing your name to someone elses.. i would not reward..also there should be a escape clauz that lets you bestow notice of intentions.. ok gilermo. You cannot be in a contract unless you are 18. It is against the statute. Just ask Judge Judy!
