I hold a Bank of America credit card they just this minute made a tardy return report on my credit. Can I dispute it?
This is what happened. My minimum payment be $15. I thought it was $14 so i made the payment for $14 so they reported the $1 as delayed. I usually make payments of $20 but at the time i was short on money. Do you devise I can dispute it and have it taken off? It really dropped my rack up. If so what is the best way to do it?
Answers: Think of it less as a "dispute," and more of asking your ridge for a little leniency. This isn't the sort of thing you can dispute beside a credit bureau, as the late payment in actual fact occurred (even if it was the result of a misunderstanding). However, you can try calling your edge, telling them what happened and asking if they'll forgive the unpaid. It was $1 after all, and if you enjoy a solid payment history with them within the past (and you get a species customer representative), you may be able to work things out.
First off, credit card companies just report information to the credit bureaus if you have been slow 2 consecutive months. More than likely, if you have be late 2 consecutive months, they won't remove it from your credit file. Banks just remove if it is a bank error. you can try and call the customer file on the back of the card ... but good luck ridge of america sucks -- i broke up with them for this reason...
