Apartment Appoval Advice Needed? Please HELP!?

i applied to a low income apartment but i own almost $3,000 to a bank and almost $5,000 to a credit card. i have payed adjectives my rent and bills on time though. do you think i will go and get denied the apartment? Please give me lots of advice almost this. Advice needed ASAP.
