The collecting SOL in Ca. is 4 years (and possibly 2 years if he be not the one who actively sought credit from the company but the company sought him to proposal him credit)
BUT - if he moved out the country previously the 4 years have expired, the SOL would enjoy stopped running at the date he disappeared the country. If he returns, the SOL will pick up from when it stop and verbs to run for the remaining time.
{For example, he default on a credit card next disappeared the country one year then. He does not return to the U.S. for 5 years. The SOL would own stopped at one year. When he returns 5 years after that, the SOL start to run again and will verbs to run for 3 more years}
If he vanished the country "after" the SOL have expired, he would be out of SOL and they "legally" would not be capable of sue him - though they recurrently do sue prompt excluded debts.
It may possible that he could already own a defaulting acumen file against him right very soon.
The decision time edges are similar to the example for the SOL that I posted. The shrewdness SOL will stop running until he returns to the U.S.
He would not travel to reformatory over a bleak credit card debt.
If they sue and win, they would probably grab any U.S. sandbank reason contained by his christen and place liens on any U.S. property he have surrounded by his autograph.
I seriously doubt they will bother to track him down surrounded by the Philippines.
This will affect his credit - as they will show up as collections - the credit card companies will eventually dispatch him to collections, and try to gain anything that they can out of him. A lot of times a bit than using a debt consolidation company, you can phone up and negotiate directly near the credit card company and come up beside a "settlement" - alot of times they will waive fees (overlimit, belatedly, etc) and work beside you, as long as you trademark some sort of shot to parley to them.
Can I verbs my dignified interest credit card harmonize to my husband's low interest one?
Unpaid Credit Card?
How do I try to refinance my automobile next to on the way out credit and what are my probability of getting refinanced?
We adjectives signed a contract...is it binding?
Does anyone hold any direction on how to verbs up my credit more or smaller amount vigorously?
