If you be a juvenile, what items would you buy contained by the year 1840?

It would depend. A lot of teens be married and have family surrounded by the 1840's.
So what the couldn't grow or elevate as food, would conceivably be one piece. Like Coffee. Flour, which used to come contained by sack of cloth could be used to trademark clothes.
Sewing needles.
Maybe a book. Candles, lantern and grease for them.
Maybe a treat once contained by a while. Candy. Maybe something special similar to jewelry or a music box.
Horse tack, and livestock.
