Depends if you build credit throughout your college years.
You should apply for the student credit cards, and start building credit immediately. If not, your parents will be doing everything for you.
Why dont you ask them?
I know you want serious answers... but it is up to them if they will co-sign the loan or not.
If you are out of commission while going to college and hold not built up credit, it is expected that they will be required to cosign for you. Someone suggested that you break open student credit cards to build up credit. It is completely high-status to do this contained by a smart path. Note that masses credit card companies will grant students credit, knowing that they are repeatedly unresponsible and run up a hulking amount of debt on pizza, music, going out, etc. Extremely illustrious interest on these balance is how the credit card companies trademark their money. And believe it or not, they habitually look at your student loan checks as income in turn for you to qualify!
I would recommend first a single card next to a $500 or $1000 goal, if approved minus your parents' signatures. Charge one or two items a month and clear the match bad surrounded by full. This is awfully meaningful. You already own student loan debt at a low interest rate. Don't donate credit card debt at a big rate. This will allow you to start building up your credit, but it may not be nippy ample to hang on to your parents from have to cosign for your second year's tuition.
No. If you are of age, hold a part of a set time living, you can apply for loans yourself. Also you can check out grant resembling Pell grant. If you catalogue yourself as self supporting, (because you can and are) you will qualify. Obviously you do not clear that much money if they have to co sign. Pell grant cater to low income family, approaching me. That is why next to my point immediately, the just sum I owed be for 1 student loan when I attended a private college for 1 year. My total debt for alle my edumacation $8000 (not counting all accounts and fees spend over the 20+ yrs.)
If you are worn-out while going to college and own not built up credit. I found interesting information around your answer, college loans, scholarship, college grant & partime works here. http://all-student-loan-consolidation.bl... Good luck!
