Answers: Well... to improve productivity, the supervisor should identify the process. Having a defined process eliminate reworks and ensures that things are done on a systematic manner. After the process be defined, policies should be in place to effect the process.
I think one key thing supervisor can do to increase productivity is by "putting out fires" because any type of arguments in the work place give somebody a lift up so much time. In addition, the employees would much fairly gossip about the "problem or issues" to some extent than work.
