Companies and family enjoy them. But are they worth the weekly they're written on?

Frankly, much of the time they are worthless - simply something they spend profoundly of time and money drawing up because they hear that every company should enjoy one.
The purpose of developing a mission statement is roughly to force the company higher-ups to numeral out what their key purpose is and articulate it. Sometimes that even happen.

It also allows for the company to set standards for their team and business.
