I can't believe he didn't take-home pay me...the company I work for have a Customer Appreciation daytime, most of the time

spent be on regular business hours preparing for this event..invitations, RVSP's, menu, working together next to the business holding the event.resting on my other employment duties, which I did win rewarded for. The dark of the dinner and entertainment, I worked 5pm - 11pm (hours told to be there) greeting and kissing up to adjectives his customer...we are discussion 100 + ethnic group. I worked my fanny rotten. He didn't payment me for my time, not even a thank you make a note of.
What do you come up with nearly this?

Answers:
It would depend on several factor.
The state you live surrounded by, as labor law oscillate state to state, but no state statute can be of a lower standard than federal statute.
Also your classification as an member of staff and if your are classified correctly. If you are correctly classified as an exempt net hand, near is no duty to reward you overtime wages. If you are a non-exempt income or a hourly hand the overtime wages are due because your employer required you to be be within. There may a sound out of a reduced hourly rate depending on what the required duties asked of you at that event.
illegal...if your a material hand, im not sure you are. If you be newly close to volunteering dutiful for you. But if you are a hired member of staff run to your boss and bring it up!
